This class provides an excellent introduction to the aquatic environment, fostering early water familiarity and safety skills in a nurturing and fun setting.  Gently guided activities aimed at developing basic motor skills and water confidence in babies.  Each class is built on the previous one. It is also a wonderful opportunity for the "Plus One" to meet and interact with other adults, fostering a sense of community and shared experience.

StarFish

Infants between the ages of 6 months - 12 months

They need to be crawling and rolling over independently

Each session is 6 weeks

Lessons are every day Monday-Thursday

The lessons last for 10 mins

Each lesson is private one-on-one

The goal is to have your child automatically roll to a floating position once they are in the water.  We will expose them to various situations to simulate real world scenarios.   They will test out fully clothed - we do this because studies show, the majority of drownings happen outside of "swim time".

Little Fish

Children Under 4.5 years old

Child must be walking steadily on their own

Each session is 6 weeks

Lessons are Monday-Thursday

The lessons last for 10 mins

Each lesson is private one-on-one

Along with teaching your child basic survival skills (floating) we introduce the Kick Roll Kick technique.  Proper kicking techniques help propel your child through the water and is a vital part of swimming.  Our goal is to have your child swimming independently at the end of the six weeks.

Adaptive Aquatics

We teach children of all abilities.  Adaptive Aquatics means, just that.... we adapt our program to your child's abilities.  The water can be very freeing for some children, let us help you teach them how to be safe in and around water.

We are happy to incorporate, what your child may be learning in OT and PT.  For example, if they are working on numbers, colors, etc. let us know and we will add that into our lessons.  We consider ourselves part of your child's developmental team.

Enhancement Programs

Swim Lessons are like any learned skill - the more you practice - the better you become, the more you retain and the more your confidence grows!  We recommend all of our swimmers take a minimum of 2-3 enhancement programs through the year.  This will keep the skills they have learned on the forefront of their mind.  We want to create muscle memory - in the event of an accidental fall-in, they REACT and not panic. Continuing lessons can foster a lifelong love for swimming and encourage a healthy, active lifestyle.

Strengthening

Returning Swimmers Only

Private | Semi-Private

After your child successfully completes one of the initial private classes, they can progress to a strengthening class. This class is designed to refresh and reinforce previously learned skills.  Additionally, as the swimmer's abilities grow the instructor will introduce new skills

Lessons are two days a week

Session is  6 weeks

Each class is 10- 20 minutes

*NOTE - We block Strengthening Lessons together, so if the swimmers are old enough we can turn that into a Semi-Private Class.  For instance - if you book for a 9:10a.m. refresher lesson, you may be asked to come at 9:00a.m.- and your child will swim with a friend for 20 mins.

Groupers

Returning Swimmers Only

Where all the fun happens.  Once your child has graduated the Little Fish or the Flippers Course, they are able to join a group class. This is a GREAT way  for kids to learn to swim safely

with others in a controlled environment.

Group Swim Lessons can help in developing social skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship, especially important for young children.

Group classes are two days a week

Session is  6 weeks

Each class is 20-30 mins.

Class max is 3 swimmers.

Strokes

Advanced Swimmer

Children 4.5 years old to 17 years old

Each session is 5 weeks

Lessons are two days a week

The lessons last for 30 mins

Semi-Private | Max 3 Swimmers

As children progress in their swimming abilities and master new skills, they often experience a significant boost in confidence and self-esteem.

Stroke lessons will focus on refining and perfecting traditional stroke techniques, breathing techniques, as well as enhancing the child's swimming efficiency and endurance. Mastering strokes can also open doors to competitive swimming opportunities if the child is interested.

Adult Swim Lessons

We hear way too often "I never learned to swim"  if this is you - we have good news - you are never too old to learn!

We firmly believe everyone should know the basics of how to swim, to float

and the fundamentals of water safety.

All you need to do is come with a positive attitude and a willingness

to learn.  Trust the Process, you will be so happy you did!
